Causes of High Blood Pressure

As a Devnport dentist we always check patients blood pressure. Many dental offices do not check blood pressure and patients may be seriously injured in the process. I have sent many patients to the hospital for treatment of high blood pressure that I found during a routine exam. One patient was in the hospital for three days to get his blood pressure under control.

We hear talk about blood pressure and salt. But another cause of high blood pressure is fructose. Fructose is a sugar found in fruit, and just like some people are sensitive to salt, some people are sensitive to fructose in fruit. Eating more fruit for some people may raise their levels of uric acid. Uric acid can raise your blood pressure.

So in closing, make sure your dentist checks your blood pressure at every visit. It may save your life. As Davenport Iowa Dentist, we always check your blood pressure.

And that’s the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth.
